Today we will release an update for Borderlands 3, which will be live on all platforms today by 3:00 PM PST, that addresses multiple community requests such as skippable cutscenes, Guardian Rank toggles, a level cap increase, and kicks off the week-long Broken Hearts Day Event! The big February update is live now and we have the patch/horfix notes! In addition to the level cap increase, Broken Hears Day event, skippable cutscenes, True Takedown mode and toggleable Guardian ranks we talked about yesterday the update also brings a lot more stability and performance improvements, as well as a lot of other bug fixes. In any case, here's the Steam store page for the Handsome Collection if you decide to give it a try, and I thought I'd add the best quest from Borderlands 2 in here as well: I personally love BL2, it's probably one of my favorite games ever, but you might get some fatigue if you start playing 2 now, because there's a LOT to do in the game (Tiny Tina's D&D DLC being a highlight.
Now if you're new to the series I can't really decide if you should try the game out now (since it's so cheap), or if it would be better to wait and have Borderlands 3 be your first experience with the franchise, as it's definitely sounding better than 2. The Steam page for the game got released and taken down 3 days ago, spilling the beans and making the rumors official, but this one really seemed like a real leak instead of those clearly pushed by the devs themselves, as the E3 surprise was pretty much ruined. The DLC had been rumored for a long, long time, as Borderlands community members kept seeing the old game's files getting updated on Steam, and then Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford tweeted a "surprise" announcement for E3. New rainbow (Effervescent) rarity, more powerful than legendariesīorderlands 2 saw a huge uptick in active players on Steam after the B元 announcement, just like how Diablo 2 got the a boost when D3 was announced (I even want back to BL2 myself for quite a while), so this new DLC is a great addition and the best reason to return to Pandora. Returning players can pursue an increased level cap of 80, while newcomers can automatically boost to level 30 and dive straight into the action. Fight new bosses, explore new zones, get new loot (including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary) and join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on ruling the planet
Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault’s map has been stolen and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. Return to the award winning shooter-looter for a new adventure that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3.
